McKenzie was purchased in 2023 from Lindsay Tayles. We were impressed by his beam strength and round tops.

 

His sire, Matai, was purchased by Ardleigh Deer Farm in 2021, after he cut 10.6kg. He went on to cut 12kg SA at 4yrs of age. Matai's sire is Totara, who cut 17kg SA @ 8yr, along with winning 2 national competitions and placing in 3 others during his lifetime, which is pretty phenomenal.
